We begin every year by sending a NEW YEAR´S HELLO to all our friends. In 2009 we are sending you our first newsletter instead, about our projects and programs.
2009 has begun well: Telefónica de Argentina donated 420 computers; SanCor and Price Waterhouse Cooper donated as well so we have decided that this year we shall donate 7 computers to each school. This is a huge effort and we call on ALL COMPANIES to donate so we can keep up with our objective.
On December 5, 2008 we received a Special Acknowledgement by the Community Prize of Fundación La Nación, Ashoka and Avina Foundations. During the ceremonies I pointed out that of the 700 inmates who worked in our Workshops only 6 have committed crimes again. There was great applause which surprised me, but I felt it as recognition of our quiet work since 1998.
When C5N journalist Paula Torres asked me in her program Solidarity Contact what I had to say, I thought it appropriate to give thanks for the opportunity to enhance the quality of life of Argentine society.
On January 14, 2009 we were mentioned in the Community Supplement of La Nación for the first time. It is a wonderful article and we invite you to see it in our blog.

^^ Image and communications Institutional
We have received a report from Business and Social Sciences University (UCES) by final year Masters students in Institutional Communications Management within the framework of our agreement with Fundación Compromiso. The report includes profound study, analysis, diagnostics and formulation of image policies and institutional communications.
María de las Cárceles is grateful to them since it will result in a substantial improvement in Association communications. Some changes can already be seen in our website, blog and videos in You Tube.

We are growing into other areas and we need people. We are asking senior citizens who have energy and initiative to come to us with their good vibes, time, knowledge, experience and commitment. Whether professionals or not, we´d like them to see our work and help in our quest for a better society
